Though an ardent Anglican in my youth, I never understood a relationship with the living God was on offer, so when life became tough in my twenties I was able to shut God out of my life. There followed twenty-five years of my running life my way which caused much damage and hurt to many people. At the end of myself in 1991 I was dramatically saved. From that time God began healing and equipping me for my ministry. I trained as a Biblical counsellor with CWR and this, with experience from a very varied career track came together to create my ministry.
Since 1991, I have been learning to live in the Waterfall and for the last 15 years with individuals and in churches, at home and abroad have been sharing the Waterfall Journey.
As I have worked with individuals as a Biblical counsellor, supervisor and spiritual director; and created and delivered courses in churches on leadership, small group and pastoral care issues; and lead the Introduction to Biblical Care and Counselling course at CWR between 2001 and 2015; God has evolved my understanding of The Waterfall Journey of discipleship.
It is all about Him and us living in His story. Everything I do begins with the Waterfall - God’s story and the Biblical basis - it makes sense of life for people when they see God’s perspective and brings hope where there was none.
This journey has not been undertaken alone . I have been privileged to walk with a treasured bunch of people spread around the country for whom TWFJ has also been significant. We have learnt together as we have travelled deeper and deeper into the purposes of God.
